We left the topics of Ottawa at 7:30 this morning, making good time and hit absolutely no traffic going through Montreal. Now that's a first!! We made it from Ottawa to the other side of Montreal in 2 hours!!!
Heading East about 20 minutes from Quebec City, all of a sudden a huge gust of air starts blowing. I thought it was really windy in the area and it was blowing against the windshield. Or maybe a hose became loose under the hood. But it was wierd, get behind a transport truck or a bus and it would stop. Go over a bump and it seemed to blow with the force of the bump. We stopped at Exit 305, in St. Nicholas, and pull of the road, oh no!!!!
There was a huge black plastic cover thing hanging down in front of the Venza all scraped from the ashphalt. So we got a tow to a Toyota dealership about 15km away and it ended up being the right side gravel panel. It had come loose and was scaping across the pavement, what a mess!
Marlo on the otherhand was an excellent dealership dog waiting in the customer service area! He was getting smiles from everyone! He even showed them how he baits his mommy by lying on his side and sticking his back leg in the air. And how he loves ketchup chips! A little girl had to pet him and even blew him a kiss as she left with her Mommy!!!
We are now in Edmundston safe and sound - getting rested for day 2 of the trek out East!!!
