Spent the day in Charlottetown. Found a Scrapbook store there and it happens to be owned by someone whom I recognized from CE a couple of years ago! We ate lunch at Fishbones and then walked down to the waterfront to see the sights, shops and listen to some music on the grass.
Highlights of the day:
Lunch at Fishbones on Victoria Row:
Lou got into a heated discussion with Sir John A. MacDonald (something about slaves.......?)!!!
Spent the day in Summerside and took a drive over to the Gateway Village to see the shops there and the Confederation Bridge. While there, I had the amazing experience to meet Anne's twin, Annabelle.
Got some PEI poutine at Sharkey's:
Lou's Warrior Pose:
Spinnaker's Landing in Summerside:
The Marina:
Imagine dangling from this? You could not pay me $1M to do it!!!
Last night we went to Carr's Oyster Bar for dinner, beautiful picturesque spot. Went to the PEI Preserve Company and then to the Sand Spit for some games. The boys didn't win me any prizes though!!!
Sea fishing!!!! Lou wanted that as the title!!
Beautiful day, the ocean was like a mirror, sun hot!
Caught lots of mackeral. Some for bait, some to take home with us.
Caught cod - Al and Lou had a great time, fishing for the fish of 'their people'.
Some pictures to remember the day:
Oh my gosh, I can't believe it!
The sun!
The glorious sun that has been missing for 7 days!
Waking up to the sun automatically puts one in a great mood after 6 days of nothing but 12-15 degree weather and rain!
Yesterday, my parent's dog - a Boston Terrier - was out of sorts. She must have S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) and needs light therapy! Anyway when she gets in a 'mood', Mom turns on the fireplace for her and this is where she stays f o r e v e r !!!!! Notice where she puts her feet!!
My sister had it all planned out that when I arrived to see the Princess, there would be a sign, "No Bags Allowed" posted around her home! I fooled her! I had a pink bag stuffed with children's books for Aiden and Marcy and very nonchalantly walked in. I managed to get her in the bag and was going to leave, however, Aiden wouldn't let me because it was "his sister"!!
So we went to the vet yesterday to get a 2nd opinion on a cyst that has grown under Marlo's tail. The vet said that even if they made the removal of it a 'whole day project' that it still wouldn't have cost $1000. Wow! I think we're being ripped off at home big time!! The vet also told us that it is the equivalent to a pimple for us and if Marlo was his dog, he would just leave it and keep and eye on it. I love honesty!
So my little man has roughly 1-2 years left in him, so we're going to make a big deal and love him every moment he has left! Tomorrow is his 13th birthday - Lou wants him to have a BARK-mitzva!!!!
